"My main reason for wanting these pipes was the desire for a true practice instrument--a small pipe that I could "push" to emulate as much as possible the feel of the big pipe. They fit this bill quite easily, but I'm also delighted with the look and sound of the pipe as an instrument in its own right."

"I was amazed at how much better than my firesides they sounded. . .looked. . .and played."

"I'm partial to the "Fairylore" pipes made by Highland Circus. . .I think they are a very well made product. They are delrin and have a very good fit and finish. All the parts are well turned and fit together very nicely. What I like most about them is that they can handle the same blowing pressure as my highland pipe setup. I have not been able to over blow my Fairylores which to me is great when practicing. Other parlor pipes require less pressure than the highland pipes."

"If you haven't played a stand of these little dudes you are really missing something. Man, they are NICE sounding parlour pipes, and they play like a big pipe, meaning you don't have to hold back on your blowing. Nice and steady, and the chanter vibrates in my fingers just like my maple Sinclair on the big boys. . . I am absolutely in love with these things, and so far everybody else who's heard them or played them has been equally enamored. Kudos to Jake Watson on the new chanter reed design too. ROCKIN' good sound."
